Volunteering With Your Credit Union

Just because a credit union employs staff, this does not mean that all of the work of the credit union is carried out by the employees. It is common for the employees work to be supported by various committees or working parties formed from the Board of Directors who are charged to carry out various tasks.

The three committee's that manage and control Tay Valley Credit Union are the Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee and the Credit Committee. Please see below for a summary of the work of the three committees.

Any member of the credit union may stand for election to one of the committees. No specific experience is required, as training will be provided for volunteers to provide them with the skills and knowledge necessary to carry out their role.

Becoming a volunteer with your credit union is a great way to learn new skills, meet new people and make a contribution to the success of your credit union. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer with Tay Valley Credit Union please contact us.
