The Volunteer Difference

Tay Valley Credit Union employs staff to manage the credit union office but volunteers are the backbone of the credit union. These volunteers form the Board of Directors which is responsible for the management, control and direction of the credit union. Without volunteers to form the Board and the other committee’s we would not be able to provide the services currently on offer.

The three volunteer committees within Tay Valley Credit Union are the Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee and the Credit Committee.

Any member of the credit union may stand for election to one of the committees. No specific experience is required, as training will be provided for volunteers to provide them with the skills and knowledge necessary to carry out their role.

Our current Board consists of volunteers from members from Dundee City Council, Fife Council, Perth & Kinross Council and retired Council employees and new volunteers are always welcome to join us.

Becoming a volunteer with your credit union is a great way to learn new skills, meet new people and make a contribution to the success of your credit union. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer with Tay Valley Credit Union please contact us.
