Saving with Your Credit Union...

Saving with your credit union is easy and convenient. Just complete an Application Form and decide how much you wish to have deducted from your wage/salary and send it to the credit union office along with two forms of identification. Details of what forms of identification are acceptable are shown in the forms section.

We will process your application and arrange with your pay office for your deductions to start on the next available payday.   

Your savings, known as shares, will be paid into your credit union account.   You can request a balance of your account at any time by contacting the credit union and you will automatically be sent a statement of your account twice a year.

Changing Your Payment

If you would like to change the amount you are paying into your account each week/month all you need to complete is an Amendment to Deduction form which is available from the Forms section of this website or from the credit union office.   Just return the completed form to the credit union office and we will do the rest.

Withdrawing Your Shares

To make a withdrawal you need to complete a Share Withdrawal form which is available in the Forms section or by contacting the credit union.   Withdrawals can be paid by cheque or direct to your chosen bank account.

Members with a credit union loan are not permitted to make a withdrawal from their savings if their loan balance is higher than their share balance.  

Dividend on Your Savings    

Each year at the Annual General Meeting the Board of Directors propose a dividend to be paid to members which is based on the amount of members savings.  

The dividend paid to members for the last full financial year 2005/06 was 2.75%.   This rate applies to all or members no matter how small their monthly balance or regular payment.
